Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage is one of the largest, most visited presidential homes in the United States and one of Nashville’s top-rated attractions.

Located only minutes from downtown and Gaylord Opryland Resort, this is a must-do when visiting Music City. The Grounds Pass allows visitors access to our 1,120 acres full of history - perfect for learning more about the site while enjoying the beauty of Middle Tennessee. The grounds include a historic garden, field quarters, historical markers, wildlife and more.

Dogs are welcome with a Grounds Pass and are free to walk, run and play while leashed on our site. Please bring bags to dispose of pet waste. Upgrade to a Mansion Tour to see the house the Jackson family called home before and after his presidency.

All tickets include access to the Andrew Jackson Center, where the museum and film are located. Tickets also include a discounted wine tasting for guests ages 21+ at our onsite tasting room, Natchez Hills Winery at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage.

Andrew Jackson's Hermitage is a historical site located in Nashville, Tennessee. The Hermitage was the home of Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States. The original log cabin on the property was built by Jackson in 1804. In 1834, Jackson had the cabin rebuilt into a two-story frame house. He lived in the house until his death in 1845.

The Hermitage was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1961. It has been a museum open to the public since 1889. Visitors can tour the house and see artifacts from Jackson's life. The Hermitage is also the site of Jackson's tomb.
